4) Comparing the experimental values with the theoretical values, both the values are in relatively good agreement with each other although slight deviation is noticed.
6. CONCLUSIONS
In concluding this paper, it is comprehended that the soft-settled-type offshore structures with a circular cross section are slightly inferior in their freedom from seismicity to the ones with a rectangular cross section. However in a region where water depth is deep enough and frequency is high, the difference between both the structures is extremely small. From this it can be said that the freedom from seismicity is very high compared with settled-type structures.
